The Year Review

 A few things I've learned in 2024:

*I love and am loved.
*Life isn't easy but we don't need to go through impossible things alone.
*We are all more capable than we know...and also more tender.
*I'm an obsessive helper with a lazy Saturday-morning streak.
A few things I'm still working on learning:
*How to identify and stay away from narcissists
*How to be more succinct
*How to speak German with accurate grammar (not Yiddish grammar)
*How to say no
A few things I'm grateful for:
*My friends and family
*Cats and Penny-the-dog
*My school community
*Freedom
*Nature
*Indoor plumbing
*My comfort being creative and willingness to make mistakes
*Music
A few things I worry about:
*People in the world who don't have my freedom, mobility, rights, safety.
*Death and illness/declining facilities of people I love
*Dependence on materials (oil/ internet/bridges/safe air) that could be destroyed with lack of safekeeping or leadership
*Rising racism, homophobia, ableism, antisemitism and other segmentation of society through hatred and fear
A few things I'm looking forward to in the upcoming year:
*Going to Marseilles and seeing Doro again
*Anything Goes and Alice in Wonderland
*Making music and taking walks
*Going Contradancing and Israeli Folk Dancing
*Leading more workshops on history, media literacy, and inclusion
*Spending time with friends (old and new)
*Spring peepers and summer fireflies
